Marquee Wedding in Northern Ireland || Abii & Adam

Abii & Adam's intimate, marquee wedding in Northern Ireland was nothing short of amazing!

These two, along with their families are nothing short of legends and I will tell you why. Thanks to the 'C' word, anyone getting married in 2020 knows what that stands for, these two had to make new wedding plans fast! Like, really really fast. The options available to Abii & Adam were: A) Postpone marrying until 2021 and feel a little deflated. B) Get married on their original date with new, kickass plans.

It's a no brainer what these two did. They adapted to the situation and put in a years worth of effort in only a few weeks and most importantly they LET LOVE WIN! Yayyyyy! They had an amazing marquee by Maverick Marquees built in the Lowry's family garden that would not only hold the ceremony but the evening reception too. Genius. I am so overjoyed with how well these two overcome adversity to marry one another and throw an awesome party that will be an amazing milestone for years to come. Here is a little insight into on how the day flowed. A very relaxed morning was had with the bride and all her ladies. They enjoyed a morning of total pampering as they had their hairs styled by Devon Casey & make-up by the always fantastic Jane McDermott. The girls were in high spirits all morning and were ready on time so there was loads of time to sip champagne, get ready and capture some relaxed pre-ceremony photos.

Adam on the other hand had lots to do on the morning, he and the fellas had logistical matters to get through so that the marquee was fit for a queen come ceremony & reception time. Had the men not sat up to all hours the night before I figure they could have had the logistical measure completed but that would be no fun, right? HaHa! Great fun regardless and I had so much craic capturing them get the place ready. Contrasting mornings but both perfect!

Abii wore a stunning dress purchased from Ivy & White Bridal that was complete perfection, and so elegant. The outfit was topped off with a headpiece from Blue Meadow Bridal. I can't describe how relaxed the vibe was throughout the day, there is something to be said about having a marquee in your garden to hold your wedding! It just makes total sense if you want the most relaxed, chilled vibe on your wedding day surrounded by your nearest and dearest. I can't speak highly enough about it. We were able to do bridal portraits and family portraits on the lawn before I took the bride & groom a few mins drive into the mountain for some epic, scenic portraits. Anybody who has had their wedding photographed by me will know I work fast because I like to have you in amongst your guests enjoying yourself as soon as possible. If you aren't sipping champers early with your guests then you are doing it all wrong. We made our way back to the marquee to enjoy the rest of the afternoon and evenings proceedings. The speeches were so lovely and fitting for the day that was in it and the meal by the Derg Arms was exceptional. It wasn't long before the music was on, the dancefloor was cleared and the couple could enjoy their first dance as man and wife. A-MAZ-ING! Best wishes to Abii & Adam on a life full of happiness. Enjoy the images!
