Where do I start with Shauna & Anthony's absolutely beautiful Darver Castle wedding? Well let me try. I stopped in with the cool, calm and collected groom Anthony on my way to the bride’s house. Anthony hails from the mighty Mayo, so out of convenience he hired a house not far from the church. Ofcourse this also meant he could take in the beautiful Armagh countryside prior to the ceremony.
Shauna and her girls got ready from the comfy surroundings of her family home, a very relaxed morning was had while Michelle & Naiomh pampered and beautified the girls. Unfortunately, the ladies didn’t have time to beautify me but promised next time they would, maybe. Shauna wore a stunning Christina Wu dress that she purchased from Divinity Bridal, it had so much detail and sparkled in the light. The perfect dress for a sunny September day!
The ceremony took place in St.Patrick’s Church in Crossmaglen before the couple, along with their bridal party were whisked off to the stunning Darver Castle in Co.Louth where they would hold their reception. As guests arrived I took bridal photographs and family portraits in the garden before taking Anthony & Shauna on a one-to-one walk around the gardens for a little peace. (And for some relaxed images).
The Castle was buzzing from drinks reception, during the meal and through to the dancing. I found myself bopping around tables joining in the craic with the Armagh & Mayo guests. The staff in the castle were up there with the best I have ever dealt with, so accommodating and welcoming to not only me but all the guests I’m sure. The Suite played a blinder with the dance floor packed from start to finish. So glad to have had the opportunity to shoot this stunning wedding and to have made friends for life, best wishes to Shauna & Anthony on a future full of happiness.
