Beautiful Marquee Wedding in Ireland || Aisling & Paul

Aisling & Paul's elegant, marquee wedding in Co. Roscommon, Ireland was breathtaking!

Love is in the air, literally! I feel like I'm repeating myself today but I don't care because my wedding couples have been THE BEST! Hands down. Aisling and Paul's wedding was the second in a row I photographed in the summer that had been forced to move from a hotel reception to a DIY marquee reception with literally no time on the clock. How did it turn out? Flipping amazing! And I don't mean amazing for something that had to be planned and executed in a few weeks, I mean amazing hands down no matter the circumstance and it is a true testament to the couples character and will power. I'm so proud writing this blog post as it really was a remarkable day and I'm so glad to have been apart of it.

So, due to restrictions and lockdown imposed in Ireland, Aisling & Paul's wedding venue was closed indefinitely so their options were to postpone their wedding by a year or to motor ahead and create new wedding plans and 'Do It Yourself. More importantly, they were going to do everything they could to ensure that LOVE WOULD WIN! It wasn't about the big party it was about committing to one another against all odds, and they did it. They built an amazing marquee on Aisling's Family Farm, utilising the beautiful outbuildings around it for space to keep their guests cosy and ofcourse to ensure there was lots of space for social distancing. It was remarkable the transformation of the yard in less than 3 weeks and it honestly transformed into a bespoke marquee setting that most couples could only dream of!

Here is a brief rundown on how their day unfolded. When I arrived with the bride it was evident they were very chilled and had a lovely morning, sipping champers and getting beautified. They had their hairs styled by Niamh & make-up by Anne Marie Doherty. I had great fun capturing all the little details and moments as they played out.

Paul and the fellas were located only 2minutes away so I had time to stop with them too and ofcourse like all grooms' houses, relaxed multiplied by a hundred! Sipping tea and having a natter, there weren't any nerves on show with the lads anyway. Paul had his best man on hand to help him get dressed, like two peas in a pod those fellas, great craic!

Aisling wore a stunning Jesus Peiro two-piece purchased from The White Room, Mullingar. The bridesmaids also wore two-piece outfits that complimented Aisling beautifully. The couple got married at St.Brigid's Church in Drumcong followed by the bridal party portraits at Keshcarrigan Marina only a few mins away. We had these completed super quick before the rain arrived, hallelujah. Anybody who has had their wedding photographed by me will know I work fast because I like to have you in amongst your guests enjoying yourself as soon as possible. If you aren't sipping cocktails with your guests then you are wasting a great days craic.

We made our way back to the marquee to enjoy the rest of the evenings proceedings and it wasn't long before the music was on, the dancefloor was cleared and the couple could enjoy their first dance as husband and wife. What a day from start to finish! Best wishes to Aisling & Paul on a life full of happiness. Enjoy the images!
